[[p:Chris Smaje]] co-runs [Vallis Veg](http://vallisveg.co.uk/), an 18-acre farm in Somerset - woodland, grassland, orchard and cropland for vegetables sold locally. There are also educational events, camping and livestock raised on a semi-commercial basis. [His blog](http://www.chrissmaje.com/)  looks at the political (mostly) but also practical case for small-scale agriculture; he helped his holding become a thriving enterprise with permanent planning permission for an agricultural dwelling.
