• Open money is the descendant and expansion of the original LETSystem concept. Although one specific category within the broader open money concept is consistent with the the original LETSystem design, it also open up the concept of money in a number of ways. In particular, it enables users to create and steward their own monies|currencies|measures creating unlimited variety within the set. In this sense in particular it can be regarded as a true commons money.
